A lot of different things must work together if one wishes to make the best possible indoor waterpark enclosures design. A professional designing team is needed before anything else occurs. This team will convert the ideas that the creative team comes up with into tangible plans that can be drawn by architects and engineers, and that construction teams are able to build. It is unlikely that two pieces of work will ever result the same because there is so much creativity and unpredictability in this type of work.

The one key thing that is more important than anything else is the theme. The theme is the big picture idea that holds the entire amusement center together and runs as a common thread throughout all attractions, shows and merchandising. In these types of facilities a them that has to do with something aquatic is appropriate, so things like sea creatures and pirates and sailor are usually explored.

After the theme is decided upon, someone in management must crunch numbers and determine the scope and size of operations. A lot of physical constraints such as size of this facility, availability of parking and utility issues come into the equation at these stages in the planning process. Someone must be the final arbiter of which attractions, rides, shows and amusements are kept in the final design and which are thrown out.

At this stage, teams are created for mechanical and logistical purposes. This combined group is then given the daunting task of taking the thoughts and ideas of the creative side of this business and converting them into a real plan that can be followed and developed by professionals. This is perhaps the most challenging of all stages.

The team quickly gets to work on drawing and planning volumes, sizes, positions and other details for the many different swimming pools, vending kiosks and rides that will be a part of this center. Someone must decide what material to use for each piece and how everything will fit together and be assembled. Usually, around this stage there will also appear the first cost estimates to accompany materials recommendations, building processes and possible usage of different utilities once the facility is up and running.

When planning is complete and the building is underway, it is time for the management team to think about employees and determine the right number of people to staff the entire operation. It is critical that the center open with enough employees trained to handle all functions, but that there are not more employees than can be supported by initial sales and revenues. The cost of labor should be projected far into the future in order to avoid unpleasant surprises.

One great way to minimize costs is by recycling water. This kind of recycling program makes a lot of business sense, and it makes environmental sense as well. The best programs recycle about 40% or more of all liquids that are used in the entertainment facility's operations on a daily, monthly or annual basis.

The best water park design is usually achieved when the creative and mechanical teams work together in order to develop the best finished product possible. The location of the entertainment facility is important too. In warmer climates, the attraction may remain open year round, but in more temporate climates, it may have to close for the winter.
