Shirley Temple is one of the most memorable starts in Hollywood who started out as a child actress. This child star with the cute surly hair and adorable dimples was too cute to forget. At 3 years old, Shirley Temple was already included in productions and making her own name in the industry. The adorable curly little girl was forever the image that Shirley Temple had in her viewer's minds. Shirley Temple stepped into adulthood and shed off the girly dimpled child to enter politics. Like all other ladies, she fell in love and got married, twice. However, she always remained to be the little adorable girl in a cutesy little skirt that everyone would love to have as their daughter. To understand why Shirley Temple has carved a deep and soft spot in everyone's hearts, let us take a look at the outstanding characteristics of her movies that made people love her even more.

Family values

The little girl innocence and appeal to the family as an audience also creates a bigger fan base for many of Shirley Temple's movies . The family-oriented tone in Shirley Temple's films make her movies a big hit for family viewing.

Fusion of music and dance

A lot of Shirley Temple's films have song and musical numbers in them. Her popular movies: Dimples, Captain January, Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm and The Little Colonel all have dance and musical scenes. It is proof of the fact that people generally love to see song and dance in a film. The atmosphere of joy in a movie with dance and song numbers have become a trademark for Temple. A song and dance from the adorable little Shirley Temple was always a welcome treat for moviegoers. It served as a surprise that keeps people watching her movies.

The orphan character

It was noticeable that many of Temple's roles were being an orphan kid. In Poor Little Rich Girl, Temple was discovered by a group of entertainers later who later let the little girl into the comedy act. She was also an orphan girl in the film Captain January.
